The New-Enlightenment Foundation was created
in 1990, inspired by the sculptor Noetico,
originator of New-Enlightenment and Enlightened
Art.
The object of the Foundation is to pursue
the emancipation of Humanity initiated by
the French philosophers and men of letters
of the 18th century, extending their ideas
beyond the purely literary and philosophical
into figurative arts. To this purpose, the
Foundation inaugurated in 1994 an international
literary en artistic Prize, dedicated to
the memory of
Denis Diderot.
The aims of this
Prize are to encourage and promulgate the work pioneered by Free Thinkers
against religious and theological dogma and to bear witness to the evolutionary
supremacy of Human Reason, whereby mankind is seen to be the sole champion of
its own Life and identity
One most important initiative which the Foundation
has in view, in collaboration with secular teachers in academies of art and
faculties of literature and philosophy, is that of instituting bursaries for
talented students lacking in means, so as to ensure the future development of
illuminated art and letters.
The Foundation
welcomes all emancipated person, who wish to collaborate directly , or
indirectly with the projects described
