The entire property is like a nature
reserve, home to deer, badgers,foxes,squirrels . there is not a modern structure
to be seen, not even a road with traffic, instead the rolling lan dscape has as
lan dmarks two other castles and a few ancient farmsteads it could be a ready
made location for a medieval costume drama. The silence is broken only by
birdsong, led by the pure notes of the nightingale. There are two springs of
clear, sweet water; one feed the lake, the second provides water for domestic
use.
The manor-house stands in its own grounds
of 27 hectares, fully fenced, which feature
a wealth of mature trees; pine and oak, as
well as many olive trees, some of which are
as old as the manor. There is also a small
lake and a stream which can provi de fishing.
